ODDBALLS CAMP Botswana is nestled amongst palm trees and riverine forest in one the most stunning locations of the Okavango delta. Positioned at the tip of it’s own secluded island and on a sweeping bend of the Boro channel, Oddballs camp looks north over Chiefs Island and the Moremi game reserve.
THE BEAUTY of the area is breathtaking and rich with wildlife but what makes an adventure to Oddballs so wonderful is the warm atmosphere of camp and the traditional manner in which you experience the Okavango wilderness.
ACTIVITIES are conducted by your own professional guide (a maximum of two guests per guide), a man of the Okavango, born and bred. He has his own mokoro (dug-out canoe) in which he will take you to nearby islands, where you will walk to view game and the spectacular landscape that is the Okavango. It might also be possible to visit his village, meet the elders and perhaps his family.
IN CAMP there are all the necessary furnishings and facilities to make your stay comfortable; a cozy lounge with reading material and games, a well stocked bar, viewing decks, dining room and en-suite tented accomodation. Formality at Oddballs Camp has been set aside and there is a wonderful relaxed vibe. The camp is staffed by local Okavango Delta residents who are incredibly friendly, gentle and infinitely polite. It is their genuine warmth, generosity and laughter that will embrace you from the moment you arrive and it is their sincere friendship that will travel with you when you leave.
TO GLIDE gently through Lilly filled channels in a traditional dugout canoe or to wander freely across game rich islands, observing wildlife without barriers, is to experience the true essence of Africa’s wilderness.
